San Antonio’s River Walk is a beautiful public park that is free for all to visit. It’s a human and doggy favorite location where you get to enjoy a variety of restaurants, shops, hotels, and other attractions. Most restaurants provide outdoor patio seating so you can dine with your pup by your side. You can check out any upcoming events on their website. Just be sure to keep your dog leashed and check the weather before you visit to avoid the high heat during the summer.


2. Houston Arboretum & Nature Center

This nature sanctuary features 155 acres of walking trails, forests, meadows, and wetland habitats for you and your pup to explore! It’s a peaceful oasis with a variety of trails that are doable for all skill levels. Reviewers have shared that it’s a great place to socialize your dog with different sights, smells, and other fellow pups as well. Be sure to pack any necessary supplies if you plan on visiting for awhile and keep your dog leashed at all times.

There are miles of trails to explore, along with 81 campsites to choose from. Whether you’re doing a day trip or staying overnight, your dog will love exploring the great outdoors with you!

Kirby Ice House does it big… with 50+ beers on tap, craft cocktails, plenty of outdoor seating, a large variety of food trucks, and a big backyard, this place has it all! Dogs are always welcome to join you as you watch the game or play a round of corn hole. They also host dog-friendly events (among others). If you and your pup are looking for a lively Texan experience, you’ll definitely be pleased by the attentive service and friendly crowds at this venue.

This stylish shopping center in Dallas is a fun retail destination for families, couples, and dog owners! You’ll find many popular stores like J.Crew, Ulta, and Saks Off 5th and Dogtopia, a doggy daycare center, if you wish to drop your dog off for a day of pampering. This center is well-maintained, and we recommend paying a visit during the holidays when it’s decorated!
