July 4th, Independence Day, is pretty much here and it’s time to celebrate! If you’re looking for fun, safe, and pup-approved activities to indulge in with the family, you’ve come to the right place. Bandera Annual Fourth of July Pet Parade

Where: Bandera City Park, Texas

When: 9:00am – 12:00pm

This exciting July 4th patriotic parade is free entry and welcomes all pets to join — from horses to turtles to birds, and more! Non-pet owners are encouraged to join and get super creative with their costumes. It’s a super fun experience for all animal lovers in an intimate setting where you can observe all the adorably festive pets.


The HRCA July 4th Family Bike and Pet Parade

Where: Community members line the streets of Highlands Ranch to enjoy the parade which starts in front of the Kaiser Permanente building located on 9285 Hepburn Street, Highlands Ranch CO.

When: 9:00am parade begins

This festive parade is free for all participants and runs .2 miles in the city of Highlands Ranch (Denver area). It’s a great way to get your pups and family moving Monday morning and you’ll find many friendly locals and crowds of furry friends. Fireworks-Free Fourth of July at Cannon Beach

Where: Cannon Beach, Oregon

When: Morning to night on July 4th

This dog-friendly event held at Cannon Beach is truly a safe haven for pups on July 4th away from fireworks and other loud noises and crowds. Visitors are welcome to bring anything they need to make their July 4th comfortable by the ocean. Be sure to bring all the supplies your pup may need for a day on the beach!

4th of July Family & Dog Parade

Where: Silicon Valley, CA (Recreation Center)

When: 9:30am (registration), 11:00am (parade begins)

Come dressed up and patriotic as ever with your family and pup so you can enter into the parade contest! According to BringFido, “Family Parade prizes will be given for Most Patriotic, Most Unique, Best Group, and Best Overall, so come dressed to impress. Dog Parade participants can choose to enter their dog into one contest category: Most Patriotic, Most Handsome (male dogs),or Most Beautiful (female dogs). Each category will be limited to the first 35 entries. Additionally, participants can enter into the Fastest Eater contest, which will be limited to the first 12 dogs to sign up. ” This parade will be packed with dog-friendly activities, plus admission is free!
