Orange County has become an increasingly popular travel destination throughout the years. Home to Disneyland and the best beaches in California, it’s the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles (and it’s only up to an hour away!). With Romingo, you can book a stay at some of the best dog-friendly hotel properties in Orange County and we even include a list of dog parks near each property! In today’s blog post, we’re covering our favorite underrated dog parks in Orange County for you and your pup’s next visit.

Olive Hills Dog Park

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm

Address: 700 S Nohl Canyon Rd, Anaheim, CA 92807

Parking: Private Lot

Olive Hills Dog Park opened in 2016 and is located in the city of Anaheim, tucked away in a quiet residential area. It’s truly a hidden gem! Here’s why we love it: it’s well maintained and includes benches, large rocks, hills, and agility structures that dogs and dog owners can rest or play on. Like most dog parks, there is an area for large and small dogs with just plenty of room to run around in. Finally, the park is the ideal combination of turf, dirt, and grass.

Laguna Beach Dog Park

Hours: Thursday – Tuesday, 6am until dusk

Parking: Street Parking

Address: 20672 Laguna Canyon Rd, Laguna Beach, CA 92651

Laguna Beach Dog Park is considered one of the best dog parks in Orange County. It consists of two-acres of grass (AKA doggy heaven!) and a smaller area for small dogs to enjoy. The park is fenced, surrounded by beautiful views. Benches, picnic tables, some shade, and water fountains are also on the premises. This park is a must if you’re visiting one of the OC beaches in South County!

Arbor Dog Park

Hours: Open dawn to dusk weather permitting. Closed Thursday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for maintenance.

Parking: Private Lot

Address: 4665 Lampson Ave, Los Alamitos, CA 90721

Halfway between the heart of Los Angeles and the heart of Orange County is Arbor Dog Park located in Seal Beach. It’s a roomy park with lots of trees and agility obstacles, as well as water fountains, waste bags, and benches. We love how safe this park feels, and your doggos will have an impressive 2.2 acres to roam free!

Fullerton Pooch Park

Hours: Thursday – Tuesday, 7am to 8pm

Parking: Private Lot

Address: 201 S Basque Avenue, Fullerton, CA 92833

This pooch park is a true suburban experience with friendly dog owners and 3 areas of play! There is a section for smaller, more timid dogs, one for active, larger dogs, and an area that is open to all pooches. This spacious dog park is located next to a library and elementary school. You’ll find plenty of trees and shade at this park, along with obstacle courses to stimulate your pups.

Before you head to a dog park, be sure to check out the rules and regulations and always keep an eye on your dogs. Looking for a complete list of Orange County dog parks? You can find it HERE.
